Data Engineer – Greater Manchester

A fintech company in Manchester are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team as they look to scale up with some exciting work on the horizon.

The company:

This company are an agile software house specialising in financial technology solutions, and after some heavy investment now got the backing to build out the data side of the business, so are looking for a Data Engineer to join them on that journey.

After some strong financial backing, the company are building out their data science capabilities and have just brought in a Head of Data whose mission is to maximise the value and promise of data and make it universally available. This role is offering the chance to work in an established company with a start-up mentality, bringing ideas into a purely greenfield site.

The role:

As a Data Engineer you'll work as part of brand-new team researching and developing their products which provide data driven solutions, solving real world problems for the customers.

You'll work closely with architects, analysts, and other key stakeholders to design, implement, and integrate data pipelines from a variety of data sources, frequencies, and latencies to build a data lake and warehouse.

You will have the chance to demonstrate your technical experience in a range of technologies including Python, SQL, and Cloud providers like AWS.

Package

The company host flexible working practices, offering the option of working from home but also being able to go into the office as part of a collaborative culture with a true family feel. For someone at this level they're paying in a range of £50,000-£75,000, with annual and discretionary bonuses, paid for accreditations and a monthly down tools day.
