This is a full time, permanent role offering a salary of £25,398 – £29,880 per annum.

The Data Developer role:

Operating within an ITIL environment, this is a multi-disciplined role reporting to the Data Lead and sits within the wider ICT team. Halton Housing are recognised to be at the forefront of technology in housing and the successful candidate will be heavily involved in ensuring that the business continues to maintain that position. As our Data Developer, you will be given the opportunity to use your initiative on full life cycle projects right across the Microsoft BI Stack to provide innovative solutions to meet business requirements.

The ICT Team are fast paced and involved in lots of changes to continuously modernise, improve, and meet business needs. The Data Developer participates in ICT and business led projects as required by the ICT Senior Manager.

Principle Accountabilities of our Data Developer:

– Coding DAX Measures and POWER BI Dashboards to specification

– Developing and maintaining SSRS reports

– Developing and delivering visually compelling reporting solutions

– Providing second line support for Data Team and own allocated support tickets

– Working closely with the business to write POWER BI Report specifications for allocated developments

– Monitoring data warehouse load and performance

– Performing routine SQL Server Admin tasks

– Authoring knowledge articles for approval by the Data Development Specialist

– Maintaining problem management records for the data team

Skills/knowledge required of our Data Developer:

Essential

– A good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts

– Minimum 18 months experience of BI Stack (T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS)

– A good wider understanding of technology and trends

– Excellent communication skills

Desirable

– ITIL4 foundation

– Exposure to POWER BI and DAX

– Data Modelling experience

– Knowledge and experience of cloud computing (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365)
