Remote working role in the world of cyber intelligence, to develop highly analytical applications used to capture intelligence from a variety of sources and gain useful insights to support intelligence analysts.
Although the core focus of the position is developing highly sophisticated and mathematically advanced software, you will not be chained to a desk all day. This is a customer facing role; in addition to software development and analysis, you will also be required to meet with customers to gather requirements, discuss solutions, specify research required and communicate information to other stakeholders.
Data Scientist & Software Developer requirements:
Due to the nature of the work you must be British and eligible for security clearance.
Highly analytical education – Physics, Mathematics or Engineering degree
Ideally PhD research in an area such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Modelling, Analytics, Deep learning, Image processing, generative adversarial networks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
A decent chunk of software development experience – any languages
Languages and technologies will vary depending on the project, but you will typically use Python for prototyping, machine learning and data analytics activities, C++ for production tools but also Docker, Angular, Tensorflow and C# as required.
