Department: Commercial/Sales in Exeter

Reports To: Commercial Lead

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated Commercial Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is tailored for passionate individuals ready to tackle strategy, sales, marketing, and business development in the tech and industrial sectors with a strong focus on environmental sustainability. As a Commercial Executive, you will play a pivotal role in propelling sales growth, conducting market research, and nurturing client relationships with some of the world’s leading pipeline operators. Key Responsibilities:

Support Sales Initiatives: Collaborate in the preparation of presentations, proposals, pricing models and sales contracts, assist in identifying and cultivating sales leads and exploring business development prospects.

Market Research and Marketing: Contribute to understanding customer needs, researching potential clients and market trends; conduct competitor analysis; explore grant funding opportunities. Generate insights and content for marketing and sales collateral.

*

Business Strategy: Participate in formulating and executing business strategy alongside the CEO and team members. This may involve pricing analysis, market positioning, and financial modelling.

Administration: Assist in organising, and participate in, client meetings and industry events. Assist in managing and updating client databases and managing some aspects of the business day to day operations

Collaborative Projects: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams on various initiatives such as promotional campaigns, product launches, and strategic endeavours.

Business Management System: Support the administration and enhancement of the Business Management System. Oversee the continuous improvement process and contribute to the annual management review.

Learning and Development: Actively engage in learning opportunities, training sessions, and mentorship programs to gain a deep understanding of the industrial IoT sector and the company's offerings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., business studies, social sciences, economics).

Core Skills:

*

Interest in sustainability, sales, business development, and the technology sector.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Basic understanding of sales principles, marketing, and customer service practices.

*

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with medium proficiency in other Microsoft Office Suite products and a willingness to learn new software and tools.

*

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

*

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

*

Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to change.

*

Proactive attitude towards learning and tackling new challenges.
