We are working with a Global Data Storage organisation and due to continued expansion, they are on the lookout for a Cloud Security Engineer/ Architect to join the highly skilled Cloud Architect & Engineering Team.

You will join the Global team currently spread across Europe & North America in the Design, Engineering & Development of Cloud Security Services for external customers.

The Role

As a Cloud Security Engineer/ Architect, you will be responsible for:

Design, Engineering & Development of Security Services, Solutions & Programs for Global Cloud Customers

Deployment of new Security Services during Initial Product Release

Development of Professional Services Catalogs, Managed Services & Support Services Offerings for Cloud & Security Services

Producing solutions & outcomes that drive continuous improvement of security posture & maturity for our Customers

Security review of Network, Systems & Software Architectures and development practices

Audit & Quality Control of deployed Security Services

Act as an Escalation Point for Security Engineering Defects to other Internal Teams & Management

Collaborate with Product, Innovation & Architecture Teams to receive Product & Service Requirements

Collaborate with Product, Pre-Sales & Operations Teams for Product Handover, Training & Documentation

Support the Business, Sales & Customers with Technical Pre-Sales, Technical Validation, Tech Deep-Dives

Contribute to the delivery of the IT Security Strategy through the completion of assigned Projects

Develop and implement IT standards, procedures & documentation while participating in Audits & remediation works

Troubleshooting of complex problems, taking corrective action in a timely manner with the assistance of vendors when required

Collaborate with our Partners & Vendors in the development & release of new Security Products & Services

Remain up-to-date with emerging Security Threats, providing advice & recommendations to Internal Stakeholders & Customers

This is a Senior Technical Hands-On Security Architecture & Engineering Role requiring the following Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Individuals must have acquired a Degree level qualification in Computer Science or equivalent.

5+ years’ experience in a similar Security role Architecting, Designing & Engineering Security Solutions across Network, System & Cloud Platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure)

2+ years’ experience in a Security Operations Team, hands-on experience with Security OperationsSOCSIC

Proven Experience Designing IT Security Solutions, Services & Programs

Knowledge of compliance programs, methodologies & frameworks

Great organisational skills with ability to multi-task is essential

You need to be able to plan and prioritise work effectively to ensure we work as a team

So you can succeed, you need to be able to take responsibility for own work, ensuring it is accurate, meets quality standards, and performed on a timely basis

Individuals must also have a proven record of working in a team environment and have demonstrated the ability to work in a collaborative manner between groups on an international basis as well as showing strong individual initiative

Be recognised as a subject matter expert in all or the majority of:

Securing Network, Systems & Cloud Services (VMware, AWS, Azure)

Cloud & Infrastructure Protection, Vulnerability Management, Threat Detection, Continuous Monitoring, Penetration Testing, Incident Response & Forensics

Coding & Code Reviews (Python, PowerShell or similar)

CICD and DevOps environments

DevOps & Infrastructure as Code Tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

Individuals should be Trained & Certified in the following areas:

Security related certifications (SANS, ISC2, CISSP, PSP or similar)

Cloud Security related certifications (VMware, AWS, Azure)

ITIL or Project Management
