Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Windows) – Energy Sector (process simul

Full Time

This is a Cambridge based software house that develops complex process simulation/mathematical modelling software. The software they sell requires some highly technical installations, with hybrid architecture utilising a mixture of traditional client/server and cloud-based application hosting solutions. They need an engineer with a background in Windows Systems Administration (ideally with a software company with SaaS / Cloud solutions) to work on the development and maintenance of these complex installations.

To fulfil the role, you will need: –

Experience in installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting software applications on cloud platforms
Windows system administration/managing Active Directory
PowerShell scripting/automation

It would also be desirable to have:-

Experience with Azure or Amazon Web Services
Managing/problem solving – SQL Server
Coding knowledge with .Net, Python (or other similar languages)
Working knowledge of: –

Microsoft IIS
Microsoft Hyper-V
Microsoft DSC
Configuring services relating to SSO
Creating/maintaining application monitoring services

This role will be working with in a team as part of a larger company – where the scope to develop in the role is possible.
