Change and Release Manager – ITIL – Northampton, Northamptonshire – hybrid working role
Salary – 50k plus excellent benefits, remote working with occasional visits to their Northampton offices.
We have a new role for an advanced organisation who are constantly pushing for pushing for positive change within their business, with continued success they are looking to add a Change & Release Manager to their technical services team.
The Change and Release Manager will be responsible for promoting, managing, and coordinating all Information Systems change activities, including software application releases and IT networks & infrastructure changes that may impact the operational running of their IT infrastructure and associated services. Coming from a strong Change Management background, you will be responsible for the ownership and governance of release activities, building frameworks for the effective and safe delivery of change.
Core skills for this Change and Release Manager
ITIL Foundation v3 or ITIL4 is essential
Candidates must have 2-3 years’ experience in an ITIL Change and Release Management role
Ability to influence others to promote good working practices, or to change opinions
Takes responsibility for tasks and sees them through to completion
Highly organised, capable of assimilating and making sense of large amounts of data
Strong attention to detail with the innate desire to get things right
Possess a genuine desire to help people to facilitate change for the business
This role will see you refine, improve, document, and maintain a fit for purpose Change Management process, in line with best practice methodologies and procedures, ensuring the process is clear for all staff to follow, whilst ensuring all changes are documented and submitted to the required level of completeness and quality. The Change Manager will be responsible producing the Release Frameworks in association with Service owners for the effective management and agreement on the execution of releases into production.
This role will see you producing training material whilst delivering training sessions on embed the culture of Change & ITIL. This is a diverse role which will see you working across the organisation driving positive change and will develop an effective way of working with Agile/Devops teams to ensure visibility of changes without slowing output.
