Business Development Executive

Salary £26,000 – £30,000 dependent on experience, + OTE up to £60,000

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Based on site in Luton

Our client is a leading provider of IT solutions and services. Offering a comprehensive range of on-site, cloud and hybrid IT infrastructure solutions.

Expertise spans: Core Infrastructure, Unified Communication and Collaboration, Enterprise Networks, Contact Centre Solutions, Data Centre and Cloud Services, Connectivity and Security. Private cloud services are delivered from a state-of-the-art Tier 3+ Data Centre, located in the SE of England, and include Infrastructure, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Unified Communications, Collaboration and Contact Centre solutions as-a-service.


Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in IT tele sales or tele appointment making
Opening and winning net new business / logo track record
Specific sales expertise in two or more of the following areas:
Managed services – Desktop & or Security
Hosting and hosted managed services – DRaaS, BaaS, IaaS
Azure CSP sales

To be part of the SMB sales team and achieve monthly MRR targets through sales of solutions and services to new SMB clients.
To achieve daily calling targets and other agreed KPI's
To build and maintain an opportunity pipeline of 3 x cover.
To ensure any renewal contracts that are due are re-signed and clients are contacted at least 3 months ahead of their renewal date to enable sufficient time to negotiate the renewal.
To maintain regular, at least quarterly, contact all clients and capture renewal dates and key opportunities each client.
To build strong business relationships with vendor partner salespeople.
Ensure all existing and prospective clients are aware of manage service capabilities/ offerings and position OF products and services to address and meet client needs
To utilise the prospect management system and ensure all opportunities are registered and updated on a daily basis with the latest position, as well as notes from all engagements. This should include accurate sales stages, commercial values, close dates and progress comments / notes and assigning to the correct marketing campaigns where applicable.
To work with the virtual team (Sales support, Pre-Sales & Service delivery) to secure business and align the correct resource within a client account.
To attend and fully prepare for monthly reviews, providing sales forecasts and presentations as required.
To encourage best working practices with internal support staff.
To always work to company best practice.
