BI Support Analyst x2 – Circa £55K – WFH/Chelmsford – Insurance Brand – SQL/DTS/SSIS
Robert Walters are in partnership with a global insurance brand and we are looking for a BI Support Analyst to provide operational support and application administration for a number of core lines of business applications in line with agreed service levels. This will include incident, problem and change management (starters, leavers, permission changes etc), plus prioritisation and communication with the user base, and third parties. This role will focus on the support of data warehousing and business intelligence systems.
The role will also entail close working with MI personnel/management, Business Analysts, Finance Systems Support and other internal/external support teams, in order to provide a seamless support face to the business.
Context of the Job
The jobholder provides operational application support and administration for core lines of business applications. Key supported applications are:
– Data warehouse and associated ETL processes
– MicroStrategy reporting and associated date marts
– Interfaces to and from the data warehouse platform
The investigation and diagnosis of issues reported by business users may require a detailed investigation of the underlying data. The acquisition and application of the necessary SQL or alternative reporting skills is therefore expected in order to query and analyse the contents of the application back-end tables.
The BI Support team functions across all areas of the Business and we aim to ensure that all processes contained within our control run in the most effective manner possible. The nature of the work will be to support existing BI developments, facilitate the promotion of new solutions and to build strong positive relationships with end users.
Key periods of work are around the month, quarter and year-ends when support of critical business reporting functions are required.

Insurance knowledge and experience would be a beneficial however not a requirement.
