My Local Authority client in South London is looking to appoint a talented Azure Cloud Ops Engineer on a Contract basis.

This role will cover the design, implementation and support of the security, cost, and usage monitoring and automation of the Azure environment to support the Digital Foundations stream of the transformation programme

About the role:

Based in South London (Hybrid – flexible):

To design, deploy, and maintain highly resilient, secure, and cost-optimised cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure
This role is responsible for establishing and adhering to strict UK Government Digital Service (GDS) reliability standards and implementing rigorous FinOps governance policies.
The engineer must drive operational excellence through comprehensive automation and proactive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Deliver secure and efficient transition of critical local government services to the Microsoft Azure hyperscale cloud platformAbout you:
You will have the following experiences:

Deep experience Azure Cloud Operations Engineering
Excellent experience with, and understanding of, GDS.
Relevant Certification in Azure Cloud Engineering.
Local Authority experience is essential.What's on offer:

Salary: £450-£500+ per day, inside IR35*negotiable based on experience
