Application Intelligence Specialist

We are currently recruiting for an Application Intelligence Specialist to join the Applications, Data & BI Team.

The role will require the successful candidate to take ownership of all internal non-ERP applications, liaise with business stakeholders, clarifying and validating functional requirements and translating those into technical requirements for the development team. The role will also be responsible for testing and delivering all changes and managing the deployment of application changes.

The ideal candidate will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and previous experience of working as part of a remote team. 

Key Responsibilities

To take overall responsibility for the day to day /enhancement activity of all non-ERP applications within the application portfolio, managing and scheduling offshore 3rd Party development resources

To work with business analysts to identify, clarify and validate business requirements ensuring new features and remedial work is tested and delivered into the business successfully.

To transform functional designs into technical specification documents according to defined standards, including the definition of comprehensive unit testing scripts in agreement with the

To provide 2nd/3rd line support on all applications, taking ownership of issues and incidents, providing effective and ongoing communication.

To provide the task detail and estimate the duration of the development tasks, ensuring that agreed deadlines are met.

To liaise with internal and external infrastructure and support teams to ensure application infrastructure is maintained, and ongoing security patching is performed with minimal business disruption.

To provide expert advice on technical design, including a thorough formal review of technical developments and coding standards, ensuring robust, scalable, and standardized technical development.

To provide advice, for the enhancement, development and upkeep of the applications and ensure application security is adhered too.

To investigate, analyse, document, and resolve reported defects on the software being produced.

To document the developments being performed and update technical specification documents to reflect the extent of the changes being applied fully

To create, document, and implement comprehensive unit test plans and test scripts in compliance with G's standards, assessing the changes and presenting to the Change Management Board.

To create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.

To provide relevant training to the application support team.

To provide advice, for the enhancement, development and upkeep of the applications and ensure application security is adhered too.

To ensure personal development plans and knowledge transfer in all key service areas are handled and completed. To ensure quality processes
