We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester to help ensure our digital services meet recognised accessibility standards and are truly usable by all users.

You will play a key role in embedding accessibility into delivery, working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to identify issues early, validate fixes, and support inclusive design practices across modern digital services.

Key Responsibilities

Test digital services against WCAG standards using a combination of manual and assisted techniques

Perform hands-on testing with assistive technologies and accessibility tools

Clearly document findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement

Work collaboratively with delivery teams to validate fixes and drive accessibility best practice

Support inclusive design by providing practical guidance throughout the development lifecycle

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in accessibility testing of web and/or digital services

Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.x standards

Hands-on experience with tools such as:

Axe DevTools

WAVE

Screen readers including NVDA and/or VoiceOver

Experience producing clear, actionable accessibility reports

Confident communicating with designers, developers, and stakeholders

Desirable

Experience working in agile delivery environments

Familiarity with accessibility testing within CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of inclusive design principles

Public sector or large-scale digital programme experience
