Major IT and Digital have partnered with a leading managed services business on an exclusive arrangement.

As a company my client has achieved ISO status and Microsoft Gold Partner accreditations by delivering excellent customer quality and high end service delivery.

The business also operates UK wide working across a number of SME’s and large Corporations with a client list that is looking to continue to grow around 20% year on year.

As a result of continued expansion, my client has immediate requirements for an IT technical engineer to work on installation, maintenance and migration projects across the Hertford and surrounding area.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will come from a similar fast paced environment ideally managed services with at least 3 years commercial experience in a similar technical support and client facing role.

As a 1st / 2nd line technical engineer, you will be a highly motivated with a good understanding of infrastructure and server knowledge including system networks, installation, maintenance, cloud knowledge including system security.

Due to nature of this role, you will be required to visit client sites on occasion within the Hertford area.

**A car and licence is a must for this role!

Skills and responsibilities:

* At least 3 years commercial knowledge working within a similar IT discipline including a solid understanding of 1st and 2nd line technical support, ideally within a managed services environment

* Troubleshooting and diagnostic experience via logs and reports

* A good understanding Windows/Exchange servers including desktop operation systems

* Active Directory configuration / admin including good network skills (DNS/DHCP)

* A technical knowledge of O365 / SharePoint / OneDrive (admin / migration)

* Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V / VMware)

* Laptop experience including VPNs

* Understanding of SQL Server

* Excellent customer service, customer facing and service delivery skills
