As 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer / Technician, you will provide first line Helpdesk support to customers, assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone and email. You will ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to all customers at all times. You’ll provide 1st line level IT support through numerous channels of communication including email, telephone, internal requests from colleagues and actions in response to automated alerts from the in house monitored systems and you’ll work effectively to ensure all customer issues are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement timeframes.
For the 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer / Technician role, you should have some of the following experience:
Good understanding of the needs of SMEs – email, telephony, backup and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) packages such as Sage
Hands on interest and experience in general computing and I.T.
Technical experience with Windows, Windows Server, MS Exchange, and Microsoft Office and Office 365 suites
Candidates must have a fundamental knowledge of networking i.e. TCP/IP, LAN & WAN and their components
