1st Line Help Desk Technician
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am – 1:00pm (12 mornings per annum)
Salary – £22,000 to £24,000 Experience dependant
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and ambitious person to join our IT Support team providing telephone and remote support to clients.
The successful 1st Line IT Support Technician will be a logical thinker, able to demonstrate problem solving skills in a time-efficient matter. They should have excellent communication skills, telephone manner, and a good command of the English language. They should be a polite, presentable individual, with a dynamic, go-getting attitude towards work. They should have the ability to work well individually or as a team. They should be a punctual individual, with the ability to meet deadlines, and administration skills should be of the highest standard.
IT Support Technician Responsibilities:
> Logging, prioritisation and escalation of IT support issues and requests.
> Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to promote high level of customer service.
> Resolution of 1st line support issues and requests via telephone, remote support
> Assist 2nd and 3rd Line Technicians with support issues where required.
> Routine systems administration tasks.
> Administration of hardware inventories
> Undertake installation and maintenance of clients IT infrastructure, onsite or remotely.
> Liaison with 3rd party software vendors where required.
IT Support Technician Requirements:
> Strong knowledge of Microsoft Desktop operating systems
> Keen interest in Information Technology
> Experience of troubleshooting network and printer driver related problems
> Knowledge of network setups & TCIP commands
> Experience of Microsoft Application Support (Microsoft Office Suite)
