A growing group of Businesses is searching for a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to join their predominantly home-based IT team.
They are going through a technological transformation and are looking for an inquisitive and enthusiastic individual who is interested in getting their hands on new technology and learn quickly if there's a gap in their knowledge. ITIL certification training provided if you don't already have this!
You'll be joining a small but efficient team and need to be able to travel to the Sheffield office as required with limited travel to the Midlands and Manchester also. The rest of the time you can work from home solving first and second line queries from across the group.
We are looking for someone who is keen to take on responsibility and in time plan rotas, manage the support queue and undertake reporting duties. It is mostly Windows environment but some experience with Linux is a must have for the role.
ROLE: 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer
SALARY: £20,000 – £30,000 + package
LOCATION: Home based with regular travel to Sheffield
– Proven experience of logging and resolving support tickets
– Experience with Linux and Windows environments
– Experience with hardware and software support
– Strong communication skills with stakeholders, customers and teammates
– Positive and proactive attitude towards all aspects of work
