IT Service Delivery Manager, Oxford, £50k – £65k plus benefits:
Are you an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager who has experience of leading teams of service desk or helpdesk engineers, applying ITIL best practices & methodology? If so, this exciting role could be the perfect next step in your career.
The role:
This IT Service Delivery Manager role blends together service desk management, the delivery of IT as a service into the business and the implementation of ITIL best practices and methodology. You will provide leadership to the service desk, conducting weekly 1-2-1’s, highlighting areas for personal and technical training. This role is working for one the UK’s leaders in their industry. With over 1000 users across the UK, you will be based at their head office on the outskirts of Oxford.

About you:
The successful IT Service Delivery Manager should be someone who has progressed from a technical role into a team leading or service management role. You’ll be passionate about your service desk team constantly striving to achieve the best possible service to the business. You’ll be a leader, someone who can invigorate your team through leadership and coaching. It is also key for you to engage with people and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Here are some of the essential and desirable experience and skills:

Manage and be responsible for the overall Service Desk activities
Monitor call queues and ensure that work is being completed in a timely manner
Manage and report on SLA performance
Ensure daily checks, reporting & resolving issues to the agreed procedure are completed
Ensure that hardware withdrawn from service is correctly recycled
Act as an escalation point for the staff, and end-users
Report to peers on any issue that could have a significant adverse impact on the delivery of the service
Liaise with IT suppliers regarding logging technical queries
Member of the Change Advisory Board
Project Manage implementation projects such as Office moves etc.
Take overall responsibility for problem, incident management and request fulfilment
