The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We create, restore and protect woodland; engaging people about woods and trees to help meet our vision of a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife.

This role will predominantly work on in-house IT projects. The job involves a mix of software development and application support. As the Developer you will be involved in all stages of the project development lifecycle from analysis and design to coding and testing.

As the Developer you will be in possession of technical skills like C#.NET and MS SQL Server 2008 & 2012. You’ll have good analysis and diagnostic abilities coupled with an understanding of the full software development lifecycle. The Developer needs strong all round coding/testing skills and be comfortable working to deadlines.

You’ll need to be a problem solver, with a solution focus and exceptional commination skills. Attention to detail will come naturally to you and you’ll be flexible in your approach; taking into consideration other opinions, changes in the environments or developments in the project. When working on wider projects it is essential that you can work both collaboratively and autonomously where required.

There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement
