Data Architect – Airport & Logistics – £55-65k & Bonus – Birmingham/Hybrid.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ENTREPRENEURIAL Business Analyst, working on our our clients vehicle movement and tracking program.
Essential skills:
Significant experience in data analytics, ideally with a data driven or industrial engineering based degree
Desirable:
Experience within a logistics, warehouse or 24/7 environment and has taken a project or product from idea through to live operations Ideal technical skills: use of GCP services; IAM services, Compute, Storage, BigQuery (main application utilises Python SQL alchemy for data retrieval)

Functions of the role:
● Lead in the analytical activity needed to review and develop our operational efficiency program
● Understand the data drivers and their impact on the various KPI’s that we are trying to improve for our operators
● Curate data and classify data sets to build and create reports, show trends and potential improvements that assist in the design of our algorithm
● Support in the benchmarking and evaluation of processes across different customer sites
● Assist in transitioning from initial review to R&D and then to implementation of our platform
● Attending and acting as product advocate at industry events
● Immersing yourself in the world of Connected Autonomous Vehicles – helping to feed into our vision and long term service offering A full driving licence, together with an expectation to undertake UK travel and stay away from home overnight when required
Experience / Skills:
● BS degree required in a data analytics driven or, industrial engineering discipline
● Multi year experience in leading analytical activities, ideally with a logistics background
● Proven experience to develop and produce reports and trends to aid decision making ● Will be leading the review and analytics of our efficiency algorithm; utilising GCP services including IAM services, Compute, Storage and BigQuery (main application utilises Python SQL alchemy for data retrieval)
● Ability to communicate technical and analytical information with clarity for various audiences to understand (from operational team members to Directors)
● Desirable: experience of operational research and efficiency projects to improve services within an automotive, logistics, warehouse or courier sector
● Desirable: exposure to 365, 24/7 working environments requiring detailed workforce planning and multiple KPI metrics
● An amazing communicator – happy to speak to large teams, win over stakeholders and develop compelling presentations
● Analytical and logical, with an ability to investigate and interrogate data and situations; ability to anticipate issues and identify improvement opportunities
● Must have strong operational discipline and strong organisational capability, capacity to work in full autonomy and able to adapt and succeed in an environment of rapid change and ambiguity
