We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Business Development Manager who can go out into the market and win new business. You thrive in the new business environment, winning new customers, generating new business and identifying new business prospects.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will sell telecom services, solutions and support to UK customers. In order to win new business and meet targets, you will have a structured and professional sales approach. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to develop your sales career in the telecoms industry.

The Business Development Manager Role:

+ Accountable for, and measured on, sales targets and results
+ Be responsible for researching and generating your own leads and networking opportunities
+ Build a strong pipeline of a minimum of 3:1 ratio (opportunity vs target)
+ Deliver ‘New Business’ gross profit targets
+ Achieve pre-set KPI’s focussed on generating new opportunities
+ Developing and implementing strategy for targeting the agreed market
+ Produce and present to the Sales Director accurate sales forecasts and opportunity plans
+ Able to target, approach and develop relationships with prospects
+ Identify key decision makers within prospects and quickly gain their engagement
+ Schedule and hold face-to-face sales visits with new customers, learning about their business and their telecoms requirements
+ Strategic – able to contribute to the company’s strategic sales plan together with colleagues
+ Technical – an aptitude to learn all aspects of the company’s telecom services
+ Produce written sales proposals that clearly define how Nomis can add value
+ Proactively promote all products and services of Nomis Connections Ltd

About you:

+ Can easily identify new sales opportunities and generate your own leads
+ Proven track record of turning a lead into a sustainable relationship
+ Prior successful sales experience in ‘closing the deal’
+ A history of over achievement in new business sales
+ Excellent commercial awareness
+ Proactive in overcoming barriers to sales success
+ Able to engage & influence potential customers
+ Ability to multi-task and cope with a high work demand and operate under pressure
+ A self-starter, self-motivated and sales driven individual
+ A strong work ethic and willingness to work hard and achieve results
+ Proficient use of IT supporting tools such as CRM, Outlook calendar, tablets, smartphones and confidence in interacting via webinars, virtual meeting tools, business applications
+ Previous knowledge of the telecoms industry is desirable but not essential
+ Ability to travel within the UK.
